Can you make a million Dollars writing poetry?
There’s one literary genre that’s always been a little harder to make a living from than most and it begins with ‘P’ … poetry.
Not for Pierre Jeanty, it seems. He moved to the US from Haiti back in 2000 and quickly realized his love for the English language as he progressed through high school. He created a very early Twitter account as an outlet for poetry and self-help and went on to write The Unspoken Feelings of a Gentleman, a non-fiction book about how men fail to communicate their emotions well enough, and To the Women I Once Loved, his first poetry compilation.
Pierre has a large following … five million Facebook fans, over 600,000 Instagram followers. And most of his sales come from physical paperbacks rather than e-books.
