Many authors have a routine for getting into the flow, that is to say, getting their game head on when it comes to sitting down every day and regularly blasting the word count out.

For some it is a shed at the back of the garden. For others it’s a good breakfast and a home office. For yet others it might be a trip to the local chain coffee shop so they can write while being reminded of the 9-5 office environment they might have put behind them.
